Who Can Submit Work to DigitalCommons?

Any individual associated with the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy can submit to DigitalCommons@IMSA - either directly or through one of the Departments, Centers, or Programs. This includes faculty/staff and students.

Reasons To Submit Your Work

When you upload a work to DigitalCommons@IMSA, you'll receive a stable web address that you can add to your CV, résumé, or portfolio. You can log in to the DigitalCommons site to see how often your works are being viewed. Once your work is in the site, it's easy for others to find it in Google, Summon and other search engines.

Benefits of contributing to DigitalCommons@IMSA:

  • Increase the visibility of your research
  • All works are checked to ensure copyright compliance
  • Access to your own personal Author Dashboard and monthly statistics
  • Submissions have a permanent URL
  • Readers from all over the world can find your work via Google & other search engines
  • Import your work into the Expert Gallery Suite where you can display your work in a visual way on your SelectedWorks Profile, in IMSA's Faculty/Staff Author Profiles

Step 1: Create a New Account

  1. Go to "My Account" in DigitalCommons@IMSA
  2. Click the "Sign up" button
  3. Under Create Account:
  • Enter a valid imsa.edu e-mail address
  • First name and last name
  • Create a password and confirm
  • Click the reCAPTCHA tick box

 

Step 2: How to Login

 

  1. Go to "My Account" in DigitalCommons@IMSA
  2. Enter your e-mail and password
  3. Click the reCAPTCHA tick box and respond to the reCAPTCHA request, as appropriate
